We believe cycling should be available for everyone. In 2009 we encouraged people to cycle with their children by loaning them equipment for free to try as well as organise some family friendly social rides, this projects continues to this date.
In 2012 we started a long outstanding desire to work with the disabled by providing specialist cycles to Ealing MENCAP. The project is a lot more than just the bikes, but a social enterprise to employ clients of Mencap to hire the equipment out to other special needs clients across West London and provide training to the staff and clients on looking after the bikes and cycling in groups.
From a small number of trikes the fleet has now expanded to include tandems, adult trailers, side-by-side bikes and more.
In 2013 we began to train people with learning disabilities in bike maintenance with weekly sessions working on bikes in a real workshop, providing training in workshop administration, health and safety and retail exposure.
